I didn't exactly dress him to go out and play in the snow, but rather to go out and have a photo shoot. It didn't matter either way to him, as long as he was able to get out, walking around, and play in it. I knew if I kept him out too long, his pants, shoes and gloves would get wet and make him miserable, so we kept it pretty short. He played around for a while, as I snapped away, then we called it quits and came back inside. We went twice during the day to catch the falling snow and really to just get out of the house a little bit.
This is one of those really easy shoots, where all I had to do was sit back and watch him play around. Being just 15 months, he hasn't see too much snow. My wife took him out once last week to play, but just coming off of 340 days without measurable snow in Chicago, the last time he really saw the white stuff was when he was 3 months old. So, he loves getting outside and playing in the snow, regardless of whether or not his hands get cold. He just doesn't like it when the snow gets inside of his gloves or inside his sleeves, but then again, who does.
It was a lot of fun watching him run around and play...it was a good day to just hang out with him and let him be a kid.
